Yesterday, I and two of my brand new friends discussed a very controversial topic:what is poverty?
Answer: anyone that lives with less then 1 dollar per day???
Is this poverty!? Or a market mesurement of poverty?
One of our questions was if a cleaning woman that works in the best area of Bangladesh, that is the 4th wife of a men that has a bunch of kids is a poor person.
Or a poor person is someone that doesn’t have a house, or someone that doesn't know how is going to get food for the next meals or someone that is begging on the streets but has money to eat. Or someone that has education but lost everything in a flood and has a debt to a bank that will take his house.
Which one is poorer? A woman, a man, an elder or a child?What is your opinion? What do you feel? How can we change this? Most of the people just avoid thinking about this!!! Just try... whatever pops into your mind!!!See next posts!!!
